HIDE/UNHIDE DRIVE IN WINDOWS

HIDE & UNHIDE DRIVE IN WINDOWS 7 & XP

hiding drives in windows 7

We can hide a complete drive in windows and there would be no way that anyone would know that drive was ever there ! This can be done to increase security of the system or just to play
a prank on our friends.

Follow the steps to hide the drive :

1.Open command prompt.(For windows 7 : start>search>command prompt),(For XP : run>type cmd and enter.)

2.Type in there "diskpart" and click enter. If the system asks for admin rights, click Yes.

3.Type "list volume".

4.Select the partition you want to hide by "select volume X" (X is the
number associated with the volume).

5.Now note the "letter" associated with the volume number you have
selected.

6.Hiding the drive : "remove letter Y" (Y is the letter associated with the number you had selected in step 4 )
